I must admit, I was hesitant being a vegetarian going to a sushi bar but this place delivered..literally; they have a robot that delivers your drinks..super cool! The fried rice was pretty good as well as the assortment of non-meat sushi rolls. Price point is pretty reasonable especially for a innovative sushi joint inside the mall of America. I would have given it 5 stars but the wait here can be ridiculous...but if you are good, people will come. Definitely don't be shy if you are a vegetarian to try this place out.

I've come here several times before, and I usually find this place as 5 stars! But this time the ramen may have been over cooked. It was very "gummy" and not al Dante as it usually is. But besides that everything was good. I was planning to use the $10 off of $40 or more, but I was by myself and only got to $29 before getting too full. Oh well! The popcorn shrimp sushi is my absolute favorite! It's always so good. I also always mix soy sauce and wasabi together to give that extra punch. I hope next time the ramen is amazing as well again!

The setting with revolving sushi plates going around the room passing by your table, that is what Kira sushi is all about. The quality of the food is just ok if you compare it to the quality you get in LA but for the TC, I would say it's pretty comparable to the other sushi places around town. So overall rating, 5 for the experience, 3.5 for the food quality.

Great, fun food and very friendly staff! This is a must at the Mall of America. Thanks, Ahmed!

I've been to a different location in San Diego and have been waiting to come check out this location at the Mall of America. This restaurant is located on the third floor across from the north food court. You'll have to come to the restaurant and put your name and phone number to get on the waiting list. This restaurant is usually busy during the weekends so if you're available during the week, check them out. This location is smaller than the other restaurant but it's unique and works out. Conveyor belt will send down a variety of ready to eat sushi, they are covered in a plastic shell. The plate usually contains 2 to 3 pieces, all plates are same price. Once you're done with your plate, drop it in the shoot, only the white plates. Otherwise there's a screen that offers other food items they offer and are not on the belt. That will also come to your table above the rotating belt. Food will be sent to your table. There's a robot that comes around with drinks and servers that can assist. Just click on the screen.

Can never go wrong with a conveyor belt sushi!! I usually go to the mall during the weekend so, it tends to be more busy, but you have the option to make a reservation online to save time! I highly recommend doing that as the wait gets busy in person. I would say the service is pretty fast. Once you are seated, everything is self-service. I love how everything is set up. It makes it really easy to choose what you want. I would say the quality is not the best, but I still love it!! Some of the favorites that I always get are American wagyu nigiri (this one has been my fav so far), hokkaido scallop, salmon and snow crab leg for nigiris. The spider hand roll is sooo good! A must try. I usually buy the same things. The ambiance is nice. There is a robot that brings out the drinks. I would say it is pretty compact but it works since it's in a mall. I highly recommend for anyone who hasn't tried this place out yet!

I have been eager to try Kura Revolving Sushi Bar for some time now as I have heard good things. I visited Kura on a Saturday evening around 6pm. It is located on the 3rd floor of the mall and there was a 25 minute wait before we could get a table. The table at this restaurant are not large and I would not recommend Kura for large groups. The servers came to our table to explain the Revolving Sushi Bar and then we hit the ground running. We were able to try 14 different sushi rolls and it came out to $72 with drinks. The service was quick as there was always sushi in front of you to try and a robot was able to bring you your drinks. The sushi was tasty and overall a fun experience.

This was my third time visiting. I visited the second time alone for lunch earlier this year. This time I visited with my husband for a birthday dinner. For a Monday night at 6PM, it was busy. Estimated wait time was roughly 45-60 minutes, which does not include the time after the staff checked you in. The food was good. They were out of the Albacore Toro "Bintoro" and Toro (tuna belly sushi), which my husband was hoping to try. I think the same issue happened the first time we visited; but I was able to try one when I went alone for lunch on a weekday. The staff were busy, but still attentive. Although it might take 2-3 minutes before the staff respond after pressing the call button. Overall, we ate 28 plates for roughly $120. Also... I recommend the Japanese Style Soy Milk Donut. It was so good! Last time I got the Taiyaki Ice Cream, which was OK because the taiyaki had red beans, when preferably I would have liked chocolate.
